Gildie is a flareadon, and was first introduced in Book 1: Keeper of the Lost Cities. She was then forgotten and did not appear again until Book 23: Dawnbreaker. In this book, she is revealed to be Gildie (elf)'s pet flareadon. People often confuse the two characters.
